Medication Administration in Child Care - Part I

New Staff Health and Safety Orientation

This course will focus on your responsibilities as a provider for administering medication to children with special needs. This includes how to provide medication and respond to situations regarding asthma, diabetes and mental health conditions. You will also learn how to use required Special Needs Health Care Plans and write medication policies for your program.

This course also satisfies a component of the STAR 2 requirement for the Montana Best Beginnings STARS to Quality program.

Medication Administration in Child Care - Part II builds on the basic information contained in Medication Administration in Child Care - Part 1 or New Staff Health and Safety Orientation. Medication Administration in Child Care - Part II will not be graded unless Medication Administration in Child Care - Part I or New Staff Health and Safety Orientation has been completed.
