This course will equip childcare providers with the knowledge and resources necessary to help families who may be experiencing a loved one with Alzheimer’s. The content in this training early childhood educators will be able to provide children and families in their programs with ideas on how to use storybooks to support the social and emotional experiences children often have when a loved-one progresses through Alzheimer’s. They will be able to share with the parents tips on choosing the right storybook for their child and recommended reading practices when reading to children. Educators will also be given ideas on how to use the resources in their own programs.
