Print awareness is a child’s earliest introduction to literacy, including an understanding and knowledge that print is organized in a particular way. It is also gaining knowledge of the functions of print, knowledge of the distinctive features and names of letters, and knowledge that words are units of print that correspond to spoken language. This course includes engaging, authentic print awareness experiences that foster print knowledge development, helping all children build the foundational skills that lead to literacy competence in the future. *Fully Automated: These classes do not offer feedback from an instructor unless you complete the extra credit activity.
