- Understanding principles of child development and learning(3 hours)
Temperament is a collection of innate behavior styles that make each of us unique. It defines how we experience and respond to the world and how the world responds back to us. Our goal, as early childhood professionals, is not to try to change a child’s temperament, but to find ways to support children’s development so that they learn to use their temperament tendencies in productive and appropriate ways.
