Caregivers often are busy getting out toys and materials, structuring the day, dealing with behaviors and emotions, making sure children get nourishment and rest, all while planning curriculum. Staff may find it difficult if not impossible to make time to observe and record the behaviors and interactions of young children. This course is designed to help child care workers understand why observation and recording are just as crucial as providing the setting, structuring the day, and planning the curriculum.
