Understanding principles of child development and learning

This class will explore the history behind Reggio Emilia and those responsible for formulating and designing its first schools. From World War II until now Reggio Emilia has been a model for early childhood and those who teach. We will go over the guiding principles of the Reggio approach and learn about the projects that are done in Reggio inspired classrooms. In the United States we refer to these projects as the Project Approach and it is through projects that deep learning is supported and encouraged.

*Fully Automated: These classes do not offer feedback from an instructor unless you complete the extra credit activity. They are graded automatically and your certificate is available immediately upon the course being successfully completed.
