Arizona: Arizona does not currently require annual training.

California: California does not currently require annual training.

Colorado: Can be used for 15-hour annual ongoing training requirement.

Florida: Can be used for the 10 hour annual in-service training requirement.

Idaho: Approved for Boise licensing. Boise providers will receive “blue certificate” in the mail. Approved for Idaho Stars. To receive IdahoSTARS training hours for a Child Care Training course, submit a copy of your certificate, along with your name, address, email, phone number and business name to IdahoSTARS Training Office, 129 West Third Street, Moscow, ID 83483.

Illinois: Can be used toward the 15 hour annual in-service training requirement.

Minnesota: Family and group homes in Minnesota need to contact their local licensors to determine if classes will be accepted. Regulations vary from county to county.

Montana: Courses are approved for annual training, and will be submitted to the Early Childhood Project upon completion. You may print out your own certificate of completion for your records.

Nevada: Approved by the Nevada Registry and can be used toward meeting annual training requirements. Please retain your certificate of completion to present to licensing upon inspection. The course MT Mandatory Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting: It Shouldn’t Hurt to be a Child is NOT approved.

New York: Courses are approved for SUNY EIP award.  The courses Literacy-Rich Child Care Environments and Positive Guidance in Early Childhood Settings are NOT approved in New York.

North Carolina: Courses approved for annual training requirement.

North Dakota: Family and group homes in North Dakota need to contact their local licensors to determine if classes will be accepted. Regulations vary from county to county.

Ohio: Courses approved in Ohio. Form JFS 01307 will be completed by instructor if requested by mail. Send form to Child Care Resources, 127 E. Main Street, Suite 314, Missoula, MT 59802.

Oklahoma: Courses approved for Tier 1 training.

Oregon: Courses approved for annual training requirement of 15 hours per year/center and 8 hours per 2 years / family.

South Dakota: Courses approved for annual training requirement of 6 hours for a family home, 10 hours for a group home and 20 hours for a center.

Texas: Approved for one-half of the 15 clock hours of annual training for center staff. For a home assistant- no more than 12 of required 15 hours, and no more than 16 of required 20 hours for primary caregiver in a home. Providers must submit certificate to local licensor.

Utah: Can be used for up to half of required annual training.

Wyoming: Courses are approved and STARS will grant credit for licensing purposes for training completed through ChildCareTraining.org. Credit will be assigned to the Wyoming Core Areas of Knowledge by STARS at approximately 80% of clock hours listed by Child Care Resources. Wyoming child care participants should provide STARS with a copy of the course certificate of completion to obtain licensing credit. Wyoming providers may contact STARS at 1.800.400.3999 or www.wykids.org.
