How We Work
Welcome to Child Care Resources' online training at ChildCareTraining.org! Online training is an easy and convenient way to access quality, approved training that will help you in your child care.
Online courses can be taken at any time. If 5:00 a.m. is your best learning time, go for it. For all you night owls, we have also seen many postings past midnight! Our courses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Getting Started
A listing of all available courses can be viewed in our Course Catalog. Once you have selected the course you would like to take, you must login or create a new user account. After logging in to your student profile, you can register for any courses you wish and then pay by any type of credit card using our easy PayPal checkout.
All of ChildCareTraining.org's courses have a similar structure. Courses are comprised of two to four learning modules which include self-grading quizzes and required activities. Some activities require additional research or for the participant to implement a change at their facility and report on the experience.
Participants have 90 days from their registration date to complete a course. If a student does not complete their course within the 90-day time frame, they will be automatically unenroled from the course.
Course Certificates
The course is finished when all quizzes and activities have been completed and the course evaluation at the end of the course has been submitted. Your course is submitted for grading when you submit the course evaluation, and you will receive an email confirmation when this occurs.
Courses will be graded within three business days by the instructor. The instructor will assign individual percentage grades to each activity. Students will receive an email notification when the instructor has graded their course with directions on how to view the feedback.
Students must receive an overall score of 70 percent or higher on the course to pass. The overall score is based on the grades of the quizzes and activities. Those earning a "passed" score will receive an email with directions on retrieving their Certificate of Completion. Participants in states that require special documentation will receive further instructions.
Participants who score below 70 percent on the overall course receive a "not passed" grade, but have the opportunity to resubmit the course. Students may read the instructor's feedback, improve upon their answers and resubmit the activity. See the Site Tutorial resource "Resubmitting an Activity" for specific instructions. If the student then earns a grade of 70 percent or higher, they will receive credit for the course and an email with instructions on retrieving their Certificate of Completion. Please note that the Certificate of Completion will display the date the course was approved, not the date the course was submitted for grading.
